  • i am afraid i would not agree with any of that!

firstly blue diamonds are softer tips than elks but in any one box you have a range of hardnesses. secondly there is nothing wrong with the softer talisman tips for snooker - i sell plenty. the reason ronnie and higgins use the hard is they play on ultra fast cloths combined with perfect cue actions.

I wasn't talking about the soft talisman tips, I was saying that the hard ones are normally not used for snooker.

      • ADR147:

Do you ship talismans to Switzerland? And if not, do you know a Swiss resellers? I've been playing with "le professionel" tips so far but they feel too hard imo. Thanks for the reply.

          • Can you tell me about the shipping fee? It's just the thing that I don't want to spend too much for a single tip. The Moori's cost about 26 franks here (would be around 13£ for a single tip). That's why I haven't tried one of these.

              • Ok thanks... and sorry, didn't see the postage chart.
Unfortunately I can't see your e-mail address since I haven't got an ebay account. And I seem to not be able to access your public profile in here.

                What to do?

                Thanks

                  • After using Talisman pro soft I had to re-tip my cue. the new tip (from the same box) feels a bit harder than the first one I had. I know its very common with EM and BD tips. but never thought its the same case with Talisman or other layered tips. Is that make sense or its just because the old one was used for 7 month and became softer during the time. Any opinion/experience with this issue? TIA

bta, Talisman is great tip once you getting use to it!

                    • Hm... shouldn't cue tips get harder when aging due to compression and stuff?

At least that's how mine used to do.

                        • Tip Type

Another Talisman fan, I have been using one (Snooker Soft Type) now for about 18 months. You have to persevere with it a few of the lads on my team tried one for about a week and gave up and went back to Blue Diamond. I think to be fair you need to stick with it, put one on in the summer so you can get lots of practice rather than using one in matches straight away.

BTW would recommend ADR147 get my tips from him, top lad.

i thought this when they showed close ups in the masters

looked like a single layer tip to me.

maybe it was just what was on the parris cue he had sent?
