        • Used to use Blue Diamonds many years ago - used to swear by them. Then Nigel (Bond) put me onto Elkmasters and noticed a difference straight away. Couldn't use a BD now, would be too sloppy. Like that definite feel of a good, hard Elk when you strike the cue ball..

Am a bit surprised that BD and Elks down at just over 64% combined? Just goes to show how much all the hype over Talisman et al has eaten into their respective market shares...

              they'd have my vote, gazza...

i needed around 5 or 6 hours of play for it to settle to a degree of consistency... i was over-hitting everything with it initially but once i got used to it, wonderful... never looked back since... such good reaction on the cue ball... :snooker:

                • Kamui Black M/H but changing to Talisman Soft, found the Kamui a bit too soft for me. First experiment with layered tips was when i destroyed a couple of 13mm Moori's...
Tried the Pro Granite's and they worked extremely well after the first hour or so, but then after about 10-12 hours of play the tip seemed to go very soft and unresponsive. Tried to play with it for a few days but it just didn't feel right anymore.

                  • I have always preferred compressed tips to layered tips.
Currently using Mike Woolridge super tips.
Great tips from the very first shot.
Play even better after some bedding in.

hey hotpot ive never used the kamui tip before but have tried the talisman which i love, but with regards to generating screw back which tip did you find this easier to do with, the talisman or the kamui???

                          • I,ve used Kamui ss , s , and medium and find them more springy than Tallys which i found more solid , so i think the Kamui is more responsive .

                              • Ye i,ve used w b , but it was a 14 mm and i did,nt trim n shape it enough for my liking so it came off after a few frames , as i coul,nt be assed to shape it . Will try 11mm though and will have a better idea of their quality .
