very similar to blue diamonds the mastercue tip only a lot cheaper, a few years ago i got asked a lot for them but not now.
yes, that is exactly how I feel about them.
However, a lot less thicker than BDs.
I feel that Mastercue tips are a lot more prone to "delamination" after trimming the sides with a knife!
i just wondering why no one mentions about the Mastercue tips?
I tried them twice but it broke from the edges when I miscued.Maybe I had a bad run of these tips but still I didn't find any thing very good in these tips. They played ok but I feared that they won't withstand a miscue while playing a deep screw.

but that could be just me!
yeah thats just you!!
i suspect they might be from the same place as the blue diamonds ie same factory, i think i remember ukrit telling me they were not thai made.
I use Elkmaster. They are good tips when you find 'the right one'. Sometimes it's i bit of gamble but here in Finland we don't have too many options for snooker tips . Another little problem is that they wear of quite quickly. I have to chance my tip about every 2-3 months, but lucily it only takes 5 minutes .
Im going to try the talisman's again, how do people get them to hold the chalk, after a few frames the tip seems to loose the chalk, even chalking after every shot i still have to sand or roughen up the top to get chalk to hold.
Whereas if you look at the talisman on ronnie's cue it is covered in chalk.....

you need less chalk - ronnie is a bit tip obsessed not sure how he does it - higgins does not look like that!

hi Craig,
there are quality differences in every tip, even when it is a layer tip!
I had one of those Taiwanese made pool cue tip that feels superb and the other that feels rubbish! Likewise when it comes to chalk retention...
It just baffles me how RO gets so much chalk onto the tip, i have tried everything, even roughing up the top and side and chalking very often but it always goes hard again?
I have some new tips being made at the minute if anyone wants a sample let me know.
Only post to UK for now im afraid, and i only have a few samples left....

hi Craig,
i use talisman hard tips as well & i believe u should try pressing a metal tip file into the tip... the ridges would stay there at least for the duration of a practice session or even for about 5 frames during a match, it works wonders for me & i've seen Ronnie do it a couple of times b4 a match if u keep sanding the tip so much, u'll end losing the tip in no time & there will be no point in using a talisman (a tip that should last longer)
