Since using this guide I became the master of re-tipping here..thanks Andrew.

I use a scalpel with 10A Swann Morton blades and sometimes Stanley heavy duty No.199for re-tipping Talisman tips.
The tips are very firm and a REALLY sharp clean blade is needed. My question is, How often should I change the blade?
use it as disposable blade or the same blade can be used for 2 or 3 tips?

In my experience, with pressed tips it can be done, but with Laminated Tips such as Talisman, I should use a new blade each time you re-tip the cue. Is that so? TIA

for me it depends on the blade afterwards if the blade looks good and cuts perfectly then i keep it - i can do 5 - 8 normally per blade.
