    I've never seen Brunswick chalk!
Triangle is everywhere, Master blue and green you see around, Silver cup is easy to get, I've seen Buffalo once!

Master blue is the most common chalk I have seen in pool halls in northern California, I've seen white chalk once from somewhere as well.

You can buy silver cup in about any colour, how strange.

I've never used this or seen it in the flesh.

In my opinion, Silver Cup is one of the worst chalk you could have. There is another one with a yellow label that is also horrible.
I use Master and Triangle green. The blue ones just seem to mark the cue ball a bit too much.

Have a look at this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/lancashire/cont..._on_tips.shtml

The paler and finer quality chalk you refer to has in fact been discontinued and is being replaced by the darker chalk (as illustrated above).

You may be able to find those dark green chalks that you like if it's the light green which has been stopped!

I always use the triangle chalks, Also, at the moment, I use an ElkMaster tip, Tweeten make all sorts of different tips, have a look at this: http://www.tweeten.us/cuetips.html

Has anybody used tips such as Royal Oak and 'The Rocket Tips'?!

Seeing that website...didn't know that Triangle chalk and Elk Master tips were from the same folks in Chicago! - I wonder if I can purchase tips and chalk direct from them, of course meaning that I can get it shipped within the United States.

I'm sure that you can, though I can't see a buy now button on their website.
You could probably buy it from somewhere in the U.S
