      no they were buffalo hide cromium but the quality of the brunswicks who originally made them is terrible now.

        I can confirm what Andrew is saying, i have one on now from Dave Coutts and they are like going back in a time machine to the mid eighties:snooker:

          Is the blue diamond blue because chalk residue was added to the tip during its production?

            yes very very good eh - i was suprised - not terribley happy about the price but then it costs the same for elks from a sports shop!

              Bugger, wish id known about these a few days back! Heh heh. I haven't had a diamond on my own cue for years to be honest. Might have to get some for a mate who still persists with em and try one myself.

                    not at all they are slightly softer then elks - exactly like blue diamonds were years ago. (when blue diamonds were the biggest selling tip of the lot)

                        They're also very good compressed, so if the old blue diamonds were too soft for you you can go down that route. I've tried both and having used talisman soft's for over a year prefer the compressed version.:snooker:

                          sound just what i'm looking for..... i'm down to the last few blue diamonds from an old box i had.....the new ones are terrible.....i'd give up trying to find a decent one......how much for a box of these ? must be cheaper for a box
