  • fibre glass cases

hello, has anyone used a fibre glass case, are they any good and were can you get them, does anyone know.

There are currently a couple of people selling fibre glass cases on ebay. Sorry I can't post the link as I am at work and I can't get access to ebay site. I must admit they look fantastic. The cases advertised are for 1 piece cues, but I emailed one of the sellers and he confirmed that they also make them for 3/4 joint cues.

yeah its ebay or ebay to be honest, i also think they look pretty smart, unique if nothing else, i dunno how long they remain, looking like that though, isnt fibre glass pretty scratchable? do bare in mind that the shiny cue case wont win you any matches, its a fair bit of money to shell out on a case (im a student btw) which is why im sticking to my aluminium one, which does the job to be honest.

They are quite expensive but cheaper than my patchwork leather case which is getting scuffed rapidly!!

I agree a case wont win you a match, but if you feel good when you walk into a club that can sometimes rub off on your performance on the table.

Really nice looking cases. They look well made too, but they're very expensive.

maybe a bit on the pricey side.

however, they are unique and well worth it.

it wasn't that long ago when aluminium cases were in three figures.

                it's down to supply/demand.

In that "case"........... lol get it?.......................... i think i will wait until the carbon ones are 50 odd squid a pop rather than £150!

once the mould is made they should be cheap as chips to knock out.

                    good idea but highly unlikely...

if carbon fibre itself comes down to that price then you may be in with a chance.

Please bear in mind that like a very good cue, these cases are handmade and take time and care.

                    NO TWO ARE IDENTICAL

You will always be paying for the craftsmanship!!

yes they are, but that takes time to cure before anything else can be done.
Then there's painting, putting effects on and making pretty.
Thats all before it can hold a cue safely.

Does anybody know if they produce a slimline version to hold just one cue?

Hi, we are just in the final process of developing a new fibre glass case for 3/4 cues.
A solid case with case walling over 5mm thick. Every case design is unique, the surface of the case has a special clear gel coating over 3mm thick. Any scratches can be easily buffed out. German locks, tapered moulded lining to hold everything in place.
We will be building stock up over the next few months and will be appearing on our web site. Watch this space.
