  • Cue presentation at home

Meanwhile i have a couple of cues and it i a pity to have them in cases somewhere on a shelf or in a corner.
So my idea is to present them like artwork - and of course they are - in my living room.

But i do not like all these standard cue racks, stands, holds and stuff.

How do you present or store your cues at home?

Or does anybody has an idea where to get more interesting pieces than the ones you get everywhere?
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

In your case this is quite unsurprising....
Maybe i should change my business and trade with cues in Germany. I am sure there is a market because you just can buy 99% rubbish.
Are you interested in a cooperation?

I would also do it pro bono... Just a matter of discussion, Andrew.

How often do you change the 20 cues beside the bed? If i imagine to be in that situation i think there would be ten all time favourites, five cues to be maybe changed and the rest will be changed when something new appears...

Sorry, i would NOT do it pro bono... Just to earn money to buy even more cues...

You can have one carbinet made, with glass walls and a bar at the top where you hang the cues by cue hangers which is slided onto the tips of the cues. This not only helps the cues to stay but displays them nicely. Add a big picture frame if you like.

I think it is better for the business if you are not too much in love to your ware.

Ronnie O' Sullivan was at a Tournament a couple on month before.
In some interviews he said that he had a lot of fun because there is much more enthusiasm in Germany than in UK at present.

I think it is not a very vital scene, but increasing.
But to buy some good Snooker stuff in Germany is impossible if you want more than Riley and BCE.

I played in a club in Hanover about 20 years ago, but it was full of British soldiers, not many Germans playing.
My joints are made in Germany near Stuttgart, and my business partner doesn't think we will sell many of our extenders in Germany, because nobody plays!

That is amazing. May company is also located close to Stuttgart. I am machine manufacturer.
He might be right, Pool is much bigger.
If have read the thread of your joints, these are nice pieces and they have a visible professional approach.
Difficult to see for people working with wood insted of metal.

But there are a few Pool cuemakers in Germany.
If you are interested i can look them up for you.

I have been speaking to Eurowest, found a couple of others, but if you can get me a list I would be very grateful.
We are making pool cue joints at the moment for a very large company in the USA.
The factory is in Schlierbach, I am there on Tuesday, Monday night I'll be drinking wheat beer in Kirchheim watching Everton beat Liverpool

I think it was a good way to start in USA. They are a bit more open minded in some extend.
And Pool is a bit more modern and less traditional than Snooker.

Personally i prefer snooker by far, but that market won't buy you bread.

I live in Kirchheim. And i pass Schlierbach every day on my way to the company....
