Can't comment on Tom or VR, but since my initial post in July I have been fortunate to have had a couple more Thai cues. First was a fairly budget Master Cue, which to me is the best cue maker on a limited budget. Will be an ideal cue for my son as it is quite light, but he is comfortable with a 48 inch cue at the moment, so the Master Cue will stay in storage for a while longer, until he can get to the club mire frequently to enable the transition. I currently have a maple Maximus Legend Plus for myself, which is the best cue I've ever owned. Lovely balance and feel and flawless craftsmanship.

A friend has a Ton Praram cue which is a beaut and he swears by it
I do believe that Ton Praram prices have gone up since a few pros got cues from him.

Let us know what you go for and how it works for you
      Up the TSF! :snooker:

I have a 3/4 Maple and a 1 piece ash - both GBL cues from Stu at Green Baize. Hands down as good as any cue I've ever payed with. Sold a JP Special I ordered from Parris cues as it did not match up to either one of the GBL's. Stu and company are fabulous to deal with and give top notch service (this is from an overseas customer.) I wouldn't hesitate to get another cue from Green Baize.

Are they all being made in the same place with different badges added later?
Is one maker particularly better than another?
          Thanks. Lee

Hi Darren, How would I get in touch?
Do you know anything about VR Custom Cues Thailand?
I have quite specific specifications which is why I went direct to the maker to discuss having something made from scratch.
            Thanks

Lee, you can contact Wuttipong Kayankid on Facebook directly. He is the owner of VR Cues. Makes a very wicked cue for a reasonable price. Also speaks English so it's easy to communicate.

I bought a VR Classic via the Facebook link from Thailand and Wuttipong was great to deal with. I did not try bargaining him down but got a very nice cue which I will never change. . It was shipped in a Goldstar metal tube ( square not cylinder ) and packed well inside. If you chat via facebook he will quote you. Try bargaining price down from the quote. I posted pictures of the VR here some where on "post pictures of your cue " section. Better to try out a cue in a cue shop really and eliminates the gamble online

Thanks for your replies. In the end, I decided to keep my cue and have a titanium ferrule put on, which is happening right now by Martin Chesworth. Once I get it back here in Gibraltar I'll let you know my thoughts on the ferrule.

How about Niche? or F1 by Niche?

Interestingly, the ones I can find here seem to be newer branding than this? This seems to be a cross of their old branding, and the F1 branding.

Searching it on Bing brought me to a Malaysian warehouse of Thai made cues? (if I understand correctly?) - using the same updated logo. I am confused.

Anyway! I found 'F1 Edition by Gravity #26 ultimate' here as well

Need to beware, many great Thai brands have been bought out by China like O'min and Lp cues and have had far inferior cues made under the same name in China.
