I see these for sale here in China on Xianyu APP, but they have a FB page that is based in Malaysia and seem to operate from there? Seems to be a big business, nice cues and a partnership with the Thai brand?

It isn't like an obvious difference between O'min and 'O'min'

The branding is the same but updated, so I am curious if it is just another step on their business venture.

    I also found F1 edition by Niche - ultimate #1 (which looks a lovely...expensive...cue)

I wish I knew more on this, but can't advise further. Wish you luck in your search. Look at custom cues by Ruairi McCarroll. Director @ Custom Cues as an alternative too. 🙏

As far as I know Omin was started by two brothers. One stayed and one went with the Chinese operation, that's why there are two Omin companies on the go. Which one is the better cue maker, I haven't a clue and which one can claim to be the original, I'm not sure on that either.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Here you can quite easily find O'min, and O'min (with Mr.Li) - both make fine cues tbh, the Chinese ones tend to be a bit more 'flash'/less traditionally aesthetic.
Finding cues here was actually harder than I thought, with less physical stores and more online purchasing.

The Niche cues I am interested in, as they look really nice. I know Niche were making nice cues out of Thailand, but I haven't seen much 'F1 by Niche' outside of Xianyu APP or this FB page (which is quite well done tbh) - curious if it's the same people on a new venture, or a new brand for SEA market or something like that?

Reasonably priced (for here at least), good looking, well spliced pieces of wood

They do look nice! Will give them a closer look.
Really surprised how hard it is to find a nice, well-priced cue here

Niche had a little flurry amongst pros a few years back, pretty sure Alan McManus used one but he wasn't the only one. I don't know why they kind of fell out of favour, if that's the right term.

Well, I picked one of these up. I read they supplied a lot of cue makers with wood? Still unsure about what I saw on FB as I didn't look beyond the Google listing (PITA to get on FB here). Anyway, compared to the tacky older logos (but lovely wood) on the old cues, this is an improvement! Makes me want the #1 I saw listed on Taobao (up for stupid money mind you)

This was not bad value for money either, given the general extortionate cost of cues here!

Lovely stick. Pick up is lovely, solid hit and far too good for me.

Are they all being made in the same place with different badges added later?
Is one maker particularly better than another?
                    Thanks. Lee
Got mine from VR , I love it

Has anyone heard of Exotic cues? I have only just come across them? Not sure they have UK dealer and seem to have come from nowhere - although they do say Andrew Paggett uses one of their cues? https://www.exoticcue.com/en-gb

I don't like the whole double badge thing. Lovely looking cues.

You do need 10 for the vBulletin attachment function but this is very restrictive and difficult (if not impossible) to manage.
You can use image sharing sites instead.

                            For example:
How to add images to your TSF posts
You can use a free image-sharing site such as ImgBB, without registering (you can register for free), to upload your images, you may have to do the “not a robot” checks quickly. There are other image sharing sites as well.
                            ImgBB.com
                            Click on "Start Uploading".
Browse to the file and select it, click Open.
Auto delete image - leave as "Don't autodelete".
                            Click "Upload".

Change "Embed Codes" to "BBCode full linked".

Hover over the code in the box, a "COPY" will appear, click this.
Go to your TSF post and paste.
You can repeat for multiple images in a single post.

                            Up the TSF! :snooker:
