  • New cue ordered

Hi guys , Just thought I'd share my experiences of ordering a new cue with Trevor White.

I currently play with a lovely Tony Ions cue which I absolutely love , its a one piece ash cue with a plain ebony butt, everybody on here bangs on about how good Trevor's product is and I'm the kind of person who appreciates the workmanship of cues nearly as much as using 'em so I thought "what the hell", my birthday's approaching I'll treat myself!.

I got in touch with Trevor, we exchanged a few emails and then I rang him to discuss the finer points of my requirements .

The main reason I'm posting this is to hopefully convey how much of a pleasure it's been to correspond with Trevor so far, he's lovely to talk to and extremely knowledgeable even down to divining that I'm lefthanded from the sparse information i've given him, its quite a leap of faith ringing up a stranger and then giving him a lot of money but this process has been very easy so far!.

Ive just ordered the cue and its gonna take a while to make, I'll update this thread when i recieve it but I have to say I'm really impressed so far.

I absolutely agree. The old Ions cue i have from you is really good to play and looks like an old Riva boat with that butt and splices. I love it and it has become my favourite playing cue in no time.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

Great to hear of your positive experience with Trevor, robsonj I think that's probably the best product endorsement any one can get. I've just managed to get in touch with him and he sounds like a top bloke. I'm a lefty too! Hm I suppose it does not make that much difference (unless I'm wrong?!) compared to getting a fencing foil

But mind if you post some pics of your current cue and case? I'm particularly curious about the mahogany case – they don't make stuff like that any more do they? I did find a Hamilton walnut case which looks pretty awesome, wonder anyone here has any experience with that?

                cheers,
                C
