either way you easy get 25 for case and 25 for a fake craftsman cue second hand! Put it back on ebay if your not happy with it, you certainly won't make a loss at that price!

excuse me but i've noticed that everyone uses those hand/machine spliced terms for cues. What seems to be the difference between those two qualitywise and how can you tell if a cue is hand or machine spliced

you can generally tell by the bottom of the splice:

                  \_/ is machine spliced
                  \/ is hand spliced

although this is not a 100% cert it is a good guide, you'll pick it up with time.

Yes, and what I've been told is that if the cue is hand spliced it's often a good indication that more care would have been taken in choosing the materials and making the cue, but it's no guarantee of anything I guess.

yeah, using my limited knowledge of cues, i thought it looked hand spliced. It's a shame there aren't more detailed pictures of it.

Nonetheless, as others have pointed out, even if it is a fake, i could probably make most of my money back by selling it on.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Hmm, it arrived this morning, and don't get me wrong, it looks really nice. Definitely not been used before as the tip isn't worn in.

However, it has 'WL Cue Sports' written on the butt, whereas I'd expected it to say 'Craftsman' seeing as it was advertised as being one of those. Has the seller incorrectly labelled it (seeing as there was a Craftsman sticker on the case), or is WL Cue Sports just part of Craftsman?

Geez, sounds like a real gamble shopping on ebay eh? Not worth the trouble unless it's with folks like ADR147.

Have you played with it yet?

its not a proper craftsman it was badged by them i think, originally they were called cooper cues.
