i have bought a new cue with a 9.5mm blue diamond tip already on it do i have to shape this in any way or can i just play with it, or do i have to replace the tip. thx keith

How am I or any other member supposed to answer this question without any sort of picture? How am I supposed to know what your cue tip looks like?

if the tip is new and unshaped, my humble opinion would be to take some 250 grit sandpaper to it, shape it a little and go POT!!!Comment

take a look at adr147's tip guide in the accessories section, you can't really go wrong with that.
Either skip to the shaping section or it the present tip is a mess cut it off and start again.Comment
