    9mm is good for pool. Most cues built for pool would be 8-9mm.It's harder to play off the cushion on a pool table with anything much bigger. If you're mostly playing pool and only occasionally snooker, I would go 9mm as it offers that flexibility. I echo the advice to check out Greenbaize.com for Maximus cues. They carry a lot of stock and are very helpful if you message them.
