Cue craft case

Hi all, I've picked up an old cue craft case and just wanted to ask people's advice. The foam hollows seem narrower than the cue, so it all fits together really tightly when the lid is down. Is this people's experience of these cases. I'm used to the cue rattling round in the old cheap black cases...

this is what I would expect for an new cue craft ali case or an old case with replacement foam sections

I have found that the foam will form to the cue and bits over time to make a snug fit
