Have you tried parcel2go. com/fedex . I sent a one piece in leather case (weight 2.5kg) to Australia for £43 with insurance. It took 5 days. Also sent a 1 piece to Vienna Austria for 35 insured. The other companies I tried wouldn't take an item over 1.5m anyway.

Funny someone has mentioned UPS/parcel express in this thread. I was lied to by them only this afternoon. I'm waiting for a cue from stamfords, Paul sent it Monday should have been next day delivery , but didnt expect it yesterday cause of the weather. When I rang them they told me the driver had tried to deliver it today but there was nobody in. I've been in all day waiting, better get it tomorrow

Normally, UPS are extremely reliable indeed. I think that they've probably tried to deliver to the wrong address and that explains why you were told this. I have only had perfect service from them, but perhaps I've been lucky and you've been unlucky!

I hope your cue arrives soon. What did you order from Paul, by the way? He does make a nice cue and he's a very nice guy to deal with.

Have you seen his leather goods? His cases are 1st class and his chalk pouches are the best I've ever seen. I've been using the same one for 2 years now and it still looks brand new, only the chalk residue on the inside gives it away.

Where I live is quite remote so they probably ran out of time.Got the cue today anyway, it was a new shaft that I ordered cause I wasn't keen on the taper of the original one. It's for English8ball mostly cause that's mostly what I play. So it was an 8mm tip but the shaft was too thin over the bridge. So I ordered a new one to my own spec giving them different measurements at certain points. Haven't ried it yet, the wood doesn't feel quite as nice as the original one though lol, but I won't knock it till I've tried it out.

The cases do look good, if I settle with this cue I might get one

I hope you settle with it OK, I know what it's like trying to find the perfect cue!! What specs are the cue, by the way? What do you plan to do with the spare shaft?

The specs are 17oz 57.5 and 8.3 mm tip on this new one. I've kept the old shaft and had it shortened by an inch so it doesn't seem so thin. The new one is Ok but the shaft has virtually no grain, only 2 very faint forward arrows towards the top . It feels quite solid though

Not worlds away from my cue specs; just subtract 1 from them all and you get 16oz, 56.5" and 8.2mm and that's what I like. I hope you get on with it OK; Paul does make nice cues and tries to choose good playable ash, so, even if it has almost no grain I'll bet it's a player. Good luck with it, mate.
