I think this thread has run its course to be fair .

There is obviously no common ground between Andy and Thai Son …..and no clear resolution that is agreeable to both parties .

In my opinion any more dialogue should be done off of here .

I agree, as long as there's no nothing offensive happening feel free to say what you want. To be honest I don't believe the millenium generation have any idea of what offensive really is, after all it's only the internet and no one is getting hurt, certainly not myself as I'm very thick skinned and have a layman's knowledge of human psychology (read a lot of books) so I have a good idea of what's in the subconscious of those who are throwing verbal stones.
BTW thai_son22, who is this cuemaker you sent the cue to and who has finished it so perfectly, I'm sure we're all interested and he would probably like a bit of advertising to bolster his business.

BTW also well done Johnny Depp, although I wonder if he's just a better actor than Amber Heard and I'd kind of look forward to thai_son22 and Andy Travis' (hopefully) impending court action televised for us all to see, after all the body language of someone giving a verbal statement is far more damning than mere words on a pc screen Judge Rinder on the tv, come on you know you want to

I know you're thick skinned! It's quite refreshing too reading your back and forths with various people. But so am I haha.

Given I've said the cue maker has criticised Andy's work, I'd prefer to keep his name out of it so in this instance, I won't be disclosing.

I've reached out to Andy long before and offered to call directly through mobile and talk and hash it out. But he's said he's happy to continue on a public forum so this debacle will live on - trial by social media and tsf 😆

Conditions are excellent , I’ve played there quite a bit on that deal .
There are a few hundred break level players who play there but mostly about during the weekend daytimes or evenings .

The club is located in Coulsdon Surrey just south of Croydon and easily accessible from the M25.

Yep , Coulsdon in Surrey .........was in there last night for a party .............a very sore head this morning !!!!

Only Jimmy White and Stephen Hendry get in there now ...........only

and , yes , a few very decent century break players . Plus an excellent snooker coach ( Terry Burke ) .

Going to dust the bat off next week and start playing again .


And from next week there is a new food menu with a new chef , kitchen has been completely refurbished and there will be a combination of Jamaican and English food .

Guessing I didn't make myself clear in what I meant...
When I was saying to talk it through..
I meant that Andy, should have at least talked it through with you...

I have have picked up on any points that might have been a problem before starting on a cue of there was issue's with it.

I'm also an antique furniture restorer and when I first started it on my own, had one customer that seemed to not look passed her nose when looking at her furniture before I started on a few bits.
Which ended up her trying to blame me for some of the things she then saw (I'm not saying that is you, as it seemed like you had some points to pick up).

Andy has altered many cues for me, as well as making a few from scratch for me, his work has always been more than acceptable. As for the phrase - The customer is always right, I find this to be very rarely the case, more like they have their own point of view.

Just read this about Andy Travis guy for real ? Andy has done loads of work for me and friends and I’ve never heard anything bad about his exceptional work ever , the man is a proper master craftsman so I’m guessing this guy is an idiot or he’s trying to get some money back as he missed a straight black to lose the frame… I’ve never ever heard 1 bad thing about Andy, only excellent reviews from countless Friends some of them are famous people in snooker and pool !!

The last two pictures of the splices are of different splices where what appears to be wood shavings/dust embedded into the grain. This was not here orignally.

The first pic if you look on the maple there is a dark rectangle. This is a dent which another cuemaker told me it looks the cue had been locked into the lathe either too tightly or without a collar.

I mentioned both to Andy and he denied any liability saying it was there when I sent the cue to him. I don't even have a lathe. Then he proceeded to focus on how I ****ed up the shaft - even though I've never said anything about the shaft. He still hasn't addressed the white marks on splice and dent. Just keeps saying I stupidly messed up the shaft lol.

Absolutely nothing there …. Pointless article
