Can this thread be removed now? Personally feel a bit uncomfortable watching a business owner and customer go back and forth so publicly.
Not taking sides but cock ups happen and ownership needs to be taken if there has been any wrong doing.
This isn't doing anybody's reputation any good, Thai son, you'll get to the point where cue makers won't dare touch your cues.
Andy i've seen some of your work/cues, they're usually exquisite and you're very reputable but seeing this back and forth all looks a bit petty and has probably turned a few people off using your services.

After this debacle started, I messaged him to offer to call directly to resolve it and he refused saying hes happy to do it over a public forum. Presumably because most of the people who reply on social media are on his side and I've had a lot of backlash. But I'm fine with that - I have thick skin and be principled about this

Andy Travis this is a picture of the cue being worked before and after. The before is the damage (deep scratches) 'you' did to the cue and the picture on the right is after it has been worked on before a refinish. If you doubt they are the same splice, just look at the outline of the splice as you can see they aren't perfectly straight. Do you still doubt I haven't spoken to a cue maker?

You are making people read this thread by creating it and posting on it and you have started insulting people. You've been a member since 2008 so you must know that this isn't the way to fix whatever you think has gone wrong. Posting threads here and saying you will share it on social media but saying you are not doing it for compensation/refund is just confusing and has been since your first post.

I can concede the point about the 'insulting' and I could've been softer in my language. But just as others probably don't give a damn, I also don't. Though having said that, I have been in touch with admins to say I'd accept the consequences if it is considered rule breaking weather it be a warning or ban or be asked to tone it down.

I've fixed what has gone wrong by sending the cue elsewhere. Its just a review of my experience thats all. It doesnt have to be about money.

I think its borderline offensive or completely offensive to suggest I am 'making' anyone read or contribute to this thread. To suggest people can't control their urge or impulse to click on this thread simply because I am posting is offensive and you shouldn't speak on their behalf if that's what you are doing. If you are speaking for yourself, then maybe you should seek help.

The thing is, you keep reading and replying to this thread and are feeding to the narrative which you are trying to avoid - there's a catch 22 for you lol.

Nobody wishes to see a bad outcome but a good outcome isn't happening here. That might be hard to take and tempting to post again but it's not the way to resolve it.

It isn't your problem, but I'm not acting like it is. You're the only one who keeps going on about court and has a problem with my narrative, my choice of language etc. You literally can't stop complaining about what I am doing. My problem is with Andy not with you, so why do you keep making problems for yourself.

If you believe I am out here just to reply to keep the thread going, then why do you keep participating in this thread? This thread has gone for several days in a row without any activity and I've not felt the need to make 'posts' just to keep it alive.

I received my cue back from the cuemaker who fixed it but didn't bother making a post in this thread to keep it 'alive'. I've just been responding to comments as it is a thread I 'created'. So if you want this thread to die, either ask an admin to delete it or stop contributing to it. Its very simple.
