  • Mike wooldridge or Trevor white

Hi guys, I wanna order a new cue. TW or MW, which one you guys more recommend?

Both are top quality. Its like asking which one do you prefer, your right eye or your left one?

Be quicker with MW I would think.

Dont think Mike Wooldridge is making cues at the moment so Trevor would be your only option. Can't go wrong with either

Thanks guy. Never tried a MW cue before, how does the blackspin/bullseyes ferrule feels compare to the traditional brass ferrule?

Can not say anything about the different types of ferrules but I have tried MW and TW cues and found MW to be superbly made - as are TW .... but TW seem - to me - to play a bit better.
Some say the different ferrules are a bit of a gimmick - not for me to say
Good luck with your ordering of a new cue as both makers seem to have very long waiting times... maybe if you like, keep any eye on ebay, etc.

Let us know how you get on.
            Up the TSF! :snooker:

I’ve own 3 TW cues and they are all very good cues. The playability are very similar. Very solid and good reaction but I would like to have a more flexible cue.
I know all cues are different even made by the same cue maker so you can’t judge the stiffness of the cue by whom made it. But just curious how you guys think about MW cue quality and how it plays.

And the spec that I wanted is not very common. Very difficult to find a cue that suits me.

No wonder that I can’t place order on his website. So when will he start making cue again?

I like a slimmer cue. Around 27mm butt and 9mm tip size.

Length, weight, balance point, ferrule preference, ash, maple or something else, there are a few makers on the forum who might be able to help you, maybe something bespoke or can alter one to suit you.

Stay away from Trevor White. Emailed him a few years ago and paid a deposit as there was an 18 month wait at that time. He confirmed the receipt of the deposit and has disappeared since then. No responses to my emails or anything, and it has been almost 5 years. Not sure how you got anything from him, to me his conduct is shady and unethical at best.

I remember a few years ago there were quite a few complaining about this.

Trev was a member on here, he may have been slow and un business like by today's standards but never deceitful intentionally. Check his post out here - https://www.thesnookerforum.co.uk/bo...782#post771782

I think a fair few fell foul of con men who pretended to be him which was all too easy considering his only way of being contacted for orders was very open to being abused by opportunists.

I'm saying that I think some people who love cues and desired Trev's so much that they took risks in order to obtain one and got conned.
