  • Minimum cost for a "good cue"?

I know this may well be unanswerable, but what would you consider to be the minimum cost for a good cue? There will be a lot of debate on what constitutes "good," and yes, I know Hendry dominated with a bent club cue, and Doherty's cue was off the rack, etc. But those sort of anomalies aside, what do you you think a decent cue should cost? I'm a returning player after 20 + years away and can't believe how much cues now cost.

What do you mean by "good cue"? Playability, you could be lucky and pay a few pounds. Exotic woods and selected shafts and a "brand" name and it could be thousands but it might play like a pig.

A cost of a cue is down to how much you can afford and are willing to pay .

A ‘good’ cue only exists in the eye of the owner . One person might say it’s crap while another might says it great .
I’ve picked up rack cues previously and played with them for over a year after hitting tons ( a long time ago unfortunately ) while on the other hand I’ve tried high end cues and couldn’t get along with them .

Go and try a few somewhere and find your ‘good ‘ cue .
