I’ve got a Maximus and I paid a few hundred quid for it from GB.

Yes I agree, anybody paying close to a grand for ANY cue needs their head sorting out

GB customer service is excellent and I would recommend them for that alone .

Im afraid with comments like yours above you’re not exactly selling your brand on here …

Sorry , I don’t understand, where are GB ‘conning’ the customer ?.

As you said previously it’s up to the customer if they want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a cue that’s been imported from Thailand.
What ever the mark up on a sale of a cue is to GB it’s just business that is driven by customer demand .

If they were describing these cues up as made by themselves in their own workshop then you would have a point .

My Maximus was under £300 from Greenbaize. Better than any other cue I looked at at the time for similar price. Stu at Greenbaize is also very knowledgeable and helpful. Some other cue sellers seem like they would be a nightmare to deal with, so I'd happily pay a little extra if necessary for the service Greenbaize offer (although their prices seem about the same as any other UK seller from what I've seen)

Some people think that because a product is expensive then it is better.( I say people but I mean muppets)
BUt when the product is sold for a fraction of the price in the makers own country to anyone who is not English then in my book that is a scam.

The bloke is a liar and a crook.

He may be very brash about his language but Wity (Bilston Cues) is actually one of the few outspoken people who says it how it is and people seem not to accept / like it. People on this forum and other social media seem to get hounded for saying anything negative about anyone in the business of selling / making cues.

Wity isn't master blaster, he is legit. Says it how he sees it and I don't know much about GBL but it's been known for years the outrageous mark ups that are made by dealers buying in, tarting up Thai mass produced cues and selling them on.
Thaigate thread on here exposed a bit of it.
