  • How to Restore a Vintage Badge. Advice Please.

I've recently become interested in vintage cue restoration, purely as a hobby. Most of the suitable cues that appear for sale online have faded lettering on their badges, and I was wondering how to restore this.

Can anyone advise on an appropriate ink/paint/whatever product and the technique for neatly restoring lettering on engraved badges?

I'm not looking to send cues to a professional for this, but to have a go myself. Thanks in advance..

Get some acrylic paint or enamel paint smear it over the badge then wipe it off. The paint will remain in the engraved lettering unless it has worn too smooth in which case get a new badge done.
