How to fix noise on a new cue?

Just got a new cue and when feathering it gives off a friction sound with every feather.
even worse when playing with the rest.
Is their any methods at fixing this?

Some pics of the cue would be great. Is it an ash cue? If the grains and/or chevrons are not filled with a grain filler, the crevices can cause noises while cueing. It might also occur if the cue is too sticky too. For example, if its lacquered.

Nice. Its an ash cue. Please check if the shaft is smooth to the touch when you run your palms around it. If its uneven, it will require the grain filler to be applied. Also, grime and sweat can be cleaned with a crushed plain A4 sized paper. Just rub it up and down the length of the cue.

Firstly I went to sand the cue with some wet and dry ready for the filler but after sanding i noticed the cue was now much smoother.
seems the cuemaker filled the grain but left it raised somewhat so it wasnt crevices i was feeling but raised bits of grain filler.
now smooth and no noise.

Appreciate your advice because although it wasn't what you said it was you sent me down a path that resulted in the solution, thank you.
