  • Nicked cue - get it back???

I was reading this thread from last year, wondering if Ferret got his stolen MW back... http://www.thesnookerforum.com/board...01&postcount=1

And recalling how my two stolen cues plus my case of Aramith Tourney balls to a great extent caused me to stop playing for 12 years... I wonder how often cue theft occurs, and it's impact?

So... have you ever had a cue stolen?
Did you eventually get it back?
If you replaced it... did you upgrade?
What effect did this have on your game?

    Good Luck Ferret!

      1 - Yes
      2 - No
      3 - Using a 1 piece ash I got from my mate.
4 - Disastrous effect, not been anything like the same player.
5 - Stolen from the club where I play. Even more annoying for me was the manager refused to look at the CCTV, according to him I had probably put it in the wrong case

I stupidly left my cue in the car one night, that was the night my car was stolen, claimed on the house insurance for the contents of the car and went out and bought a tony ions cue which took a while to get used to as it was much stiffer and "thicker" than the riley prize cue i had stolen but i got there in the end

No not got it back yet

          And in answer to your questions;
          1. Yes
          2. No
          3. Not replaced it yet
          4. Still not playing
          5. Got stolen from the pub (While shut lol)
I do want to get another MW cue just got to get the cash to do it as the insurance didn't pay out for my cue in the end

Because I still do not have a decent cue to play with I have not taken the game back up again as of yet (4 year break of not playing), I have been back home from Wales since December and this is when I was planning on starting to play again, oh well never mind.

Think you're right, Mike, either that or he was in for a cut.
