I had an 8 frame session on Friday evening and had roughed up the tip prior to starting and was chalking more than I have been, ignoring the selling point of having to chalk less, and I didn't get a single miscue so I think I'm sticking with the Elkmaster and the Taom V10 chalk. When it comes to new tip time I might try a Century. It would be good to try other tips to get a comparison even if I don't stick with it.

Got some Magic Chalk, no kicks with the limited time I used it, around 100 shots. Covered the tip well, didn't need to hardly chalk, you can easily get ten shots if you want but as an every shot chalker it felt weird not chalking.
Downside, I used one wipe over the tip when I did chalk and it left a visable streak on the cloth on decent screw back shots, nowhere near as bad as triangle but too much for me, it also stuck to the cue ball, it was easily wiped off, not a claggy sticky mark but it did stick. These two things only happened on the first shot after chalking the tip, it seemed fine after that.
In the end up its too messy for me which is a pity as it seems a decent chalk. This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I had a weird one last night, chalking every other shot I'd say, got a huge miscue then when I looked at the tip the middle of it has raised up like the centre of the tip had popped up. I thought the lump was chalk deposit so I when to brush it off but it was definitely tip fibres that I had to sandpaper off to get it flat again. It was so weird and I really wished I'd taken a photo.
I might look up this Magic Chalk.

Century has been mentioned, I do have some Kamui but I have no experience of them whatsoever. This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I didn't use it other than hitting a few balls out of curiosity. It was very powdery to the touch. Think it would have made a right mess if I'd used it any more. Reminded me of Silver Cup if you've ever used that. I think it's Japanese, not Chinese, but I've never seen it mentioned on here or the US pool forums or seen it outside of Ali Express which probably isn't much of an endorsement.
I got a couple of blocks to test. It does seem 'powdery' in the block, but much finer when applied. Sits well on the tip. Will test it on another shaft, and compare with the Taom Pyro I was otherwise using.
AliExpress could even be selling a 'double fake' (faking two brands at once) - who knows with that **** show... 😂 recently realised people use this with market outlet some sense of genuine purpose. Blows my mind comparing to what's on Taobao.
The chalk is well presented/packaged. That's pretty much where all the money is spent producing it. So they got that part reasonably dialled haha

The Hedda Ro chalk looks powdery, but is actually a very nice chalk.
Have to say the pink Taom leaves less visible residue. Still undecided if it leaves any less on the ball or cloth in reality. Not a single kick yesterday. About 7 hours of play. Can't complain.

The day Ronnie drops his triangle for any of the new kids on the block, then I still won't waste my money on these magic bullets.
