Hi, I’m looking at purchasing a 2nd hand cue, however the tip size is 9.5mm and I’d like to have it reduced for pool to 8.25. If I was to have this tapered does any one know as an estimate how much this would reduce the weight by. It’s currently 18.2oz. Thanks.

If you Google most of the cue makers and cue doctors they normally have price lists for this type of work. This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I could be wrong but re-tapering won't reduce the weight by a notible amount. However it will change the way the cue plays!"I got injected with the passion for snooker" - SQ_FLYER

I tapered my own cue after having a new ferrule fitted. Or doing it the other way around - simply because no cue maker will make a taper per request. Or at least this has been my experience..."I got injected with the passion for snooker" - SQ_FLYER

Did you order the cue directly or through the UK agent?"I got injected with the passion for snooker" - SQ_FLYER
