Raper and sons Festival of Britain cue

Hi all,

I've picked up this interesting Raper and Sons Festival of Britain cue. I was wondering if anyone had any more info about them from old catalogues, etc.? I assume it was made in or around 1951 for the Festival of Britain, but was it only available for a short time - never seen another one and google was coming up with nothing.

The joint i assume is a later Bob Acker addition and it would have been one piece originally...

It shouldn't be a two piece that's for sure!
so the one in the picture has been cut and will be valued less than the one pieces.
