Kindly, need an advice regarding cue length and balance point.
Well, first there is a relation between cue length and the balance point, we all have read that the perfect balance point is something between 16 to 18 that's not wrong but not a complete explanation, because 16 to 18 is mostly applied to cues long between 57 & 58, and 16-18 not correct if we apply them to cues like 55”,54” or 60”.
So, let’s say 17 is a perfect BP for 57” which is about 30% of the total length, but the performance can vary from cue to cue if we compare two cues have same specs, depending on how dense the cue is and age as well.
The boggling question is, Is the BP at 30% of any cue length will be the best balance point?
For my case, I’m planning to customize a 55” inch cue at this point 0.3*55=16.5.
Am I making sense? Can I adopt these methods? I have to delve into it, to avoid getting an annoying cue.
