  • Buying a new cue?

Can anyone advise me on places to buy a new cue that accepts finance?

Nearly everywhere will do finance on cars.
I read that as buying a new car, and just ignore me.

Could you not get one of those zero per cent credit cards and just pay what you can afford each month. Most places selling cues will accept a credit card.
Word of caution though. If you can’t afford to buy a cue then don’t. Save up till you can afford to buy one. Madness to get into debt for a snooker cue imo.

Echo Niftys advice but as long as you can afford the longer term payments EBay offer Paypal credit which can offer interest free credit when paid in 4 months.

          here’s an example. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145488251...mis&media=COPY

The Thai cue brands are strong and great quality cues, Maximus and VR cues have a good name but I can't personally vouch for current others in their range. Ton Praram are very strong brand and known to make great cues but also very expensive.

Don't know what you've used before but these Thai brand cues have stiff shafts with little flex and great balance in their weight. If you fancy a strong stiff cue (not much whip in the shaft but still have feel and spring) then you can't go wrong with a Maximus.

These cues also hold/increase in value on resale on eBay so a good choice.

My current cue is a Peradon Chiltren 3/4. It doesn't feel good at all, my old canon cue felt much nice and bit better quality and that was about 1998.

It's a huge risk buying over the Internet I've bought a few and never stayed with them, you really need to try before you buy.

I don't know anywhere down that way, maybe someone on here knows of a shop with a table down your end. I sympathise with you but I'm at the other extreme, Carlisle is the arse end of nowhere but I love it, although it is a trek to everywhere.

                              Blue Moon Leisure, Ilfracombe
                              Replay, Exmouth
                              Bernard Harvey Pool Tables, Camborne

IIRC Blue Moon used to have a large collection, I have no information about the other two, but they may know of elsewhere
                              Up the TSF! :snooker:
