John Parris Cue

Hi everyone, had this cue about 30 years. Someone mentioned it might be quite rare. I wondered if any information is out there as I can’t find a similar one on any search. It’s a 2 piece cue and I’ve attached a couple of pictures. I would be grateful for any comments.
The inset name plate says John Parris , London, SE23 and it’s is made of Ash.
can’t find a tab to attach pics sadly.

How to add images to your TSF posts
You can use a free image-sharing site such as ImgBB, without registering (you can register for free), to upload your images, you may have to do the “not a robot” checks quickly. There are other image sharing sites as well.
ImgBB.com
Click on "Start Uploading"
Browse to the file and select it, click Open
Auto delete image - leave as "Don't autodelete".
Click "Upload".
Change "Embed Codes" to "BBCode full linked".
Hover over the code in the box, a "COPY" will appear, click this.
Go to your TSF post and paste.
You can repeat for multiple images in a single post.

Love to see the pictures of the cue (see instructions above ).
Commonly known as the "Postcode" cues for obvious reasons.
They were made (approximately) in the 90s, so your ~30 years fits nicely

Confused here:

(1) That is not a John Parris "SD" joint (for Steve Davis when he worked with the Steve in the 80s)?
(2) Not seen a machine spliced JP Postcode cue before.

Nothing to do with being 2pc - quite normal back in the 80s/90s
Machine spliced refers to the joining of the butt wood to the shaft wood.

JP did do a machine spliced cue in the early years, called a Master cue.
That is the only one I have seen by JP machine spliced.

So it was second hand when you bought it. More than 30 years old then. Did you buy it from someone you knew? Any stories attached to it?

If my memory serves me correctly (I wouldn’t put my life on it) I bought a full sized table from an Essex based firm where I live. The cue was a sweetener to seal the deal.
