    I'm no expert but it doesn't look like any JP Cue I have seen

      There was something similar in 2017. Cannot vouch if this was deemed authentic or not. Joint was above the machine splices rather than centre jointed.

        Did you get to the bottom of this?

        The badge looks very similar to the cue JP made for me (30 to 40 years ago) although mine also includes a number, "212" . I don't remember the exact date, but I can certainly vouch for the authenticity, as I remember John handing it to me in person.



        Edit: If anyone feels like doing some detective work to narrow down the date, the price price at the time was £170 (one-piece, ash & ebony, no additional splices). And at the same time, a similar cue from Hunt & O'Byrne was £320 I think. There may well be adverts showing these prices in contemporary issues of Snooker Scene and/or Cue World.
