  • Powerglide Purist Ash one-piece cue (owned since late 80s).

    Hi

New joiner / poster as I have finally decided to sell the cue I’ve owned since the late 80’s.

I have a Powerglide Purist (with Rex Williams signature) one-piece Ash cue which was hand made in England. I understand one-piece Powerglide’s are quite rare, as most Powerglide cues were two-piece. I have owned this cue from new (late 80s) and it has always been kept in a case, so is perfectly straight and in fantastic condition. Unfortunately this cue not been used much at all since the late 80’s either, as my love of snooker was overtaken by social life / ladies / travel / work / kids etc. No idea how much it’s worth, so looking for some sage advice from this forum. Happy to post photos if need too.

Than you in advance for any advice received.

    Regards
    Andy
    Kind regards
    Andy

quick look at ebay has a 3/4 purist with case, etc. going for GBP200 in Nov24

    "sage advice", hmm?
I would say keep it, because so many people come on here and say "coming back to snooker after many years away...wish I did not get rid of my old cue..."
Once it is gone, it is gone

      Thanks for the reply Dean.

I really don't play snooker at all now days, just the odd game of pool at our local pub/club. Thankfully I already have a cue for pool (a two-piece Powerglide Purist ) so the one-piece cue is definitely surplus to requirements...

      Any advice is greatly appreciated.👍
      Kind regards
      Andy

The sale will also include a "POT IT" Cue Container, which the cue has been in since the mid-80's. Please can someone advise how I upload images, so I can show photos of the cue and the container?

        Kind regards

How to add images to your TSF posts
You can use a free image-sharing site such as ImgBB, without registering (you can register for free), to upload your images, you may have to do the “not a robot” checks quickly. There are other image sharing sites as well.
          ImgBB.com
          Click on "Start Uploading".
Browse to the file and select it, click Open.
Auto delete image - leave as "Don't autodelete".
          Click "Upload".

Change "Embed Codes" to "BBCode full linked".

Hover mouse over the code in the box, a "COPY" will appear, click this.
Go to your TSF post and paste.
You can repeat for multiple images in a single post.

          Up the TSF! :snooker:
