  • How to get the perfect finish

I decided a few years back to make my own cue as I’m a joiner. This has finally been finished now and I put an oil finish on. It did not turn out how I expected, it was very dull and wouldn’t shine up.

I previously owned a Parris cue that I stupidly sold….and my brother in law has just bought a Jason Owen cue. Both of these have the most amazing finish to them but I just can’t seem to replicate it.

Any secret tips, products or processes that would help?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
    you can look here: https://www.thesnookerforum.co.uk/bo...-grain-fillers

you can imagine that any cue maker has his own mixes, batches and won’t tell anyone what they do in particular.

the thread above has some good information about finishing your cue.

This should help you and give you some idea about oils and stuff.
