But I really love the Ash he choose for me.

And I also love his Extensions very much,we can see he make it with HEART.
Hope to send u guys photo.I will take it when I free.
Now I am planning to order another one from Robin.
1pcs Ash plus Handmade ebony with Single Splice,
Snakewood thick veneer + thin Ebony veneer + Snakewood veneer.
55.5",9.5mm tip,29mm Butt size,17.5oz with 16.5~17" Balance.
And I still thinking, can Robin make a round butt cue?

Nice read so far. I've also talked to Robin via email. Very helpful guy like everyone else has said so far. I'm still tossing up between cue makers. I hear Trevor White's computer is down and Stamford are a bit hard to get a reply from. But as others have said, Robin gets back to you rather quickly.
Well...Paul Robert really a busy guy,I always wait for his mail but never wait more than 48hours
He become more popular in china coz Ding is using his cue.
And people give him lot of great feedback.

I have been used a 98% alcohol to clear the cue and put cue oil then put a cue wax on the cue,so u can see the butt are not so glossy.
I want to let the cue another finish by itself.Do anyone know I mean?
U can see it is very glossy,it is the orginal wax come from the wood itself.
So u can think this kind finish on the cocobolo is so perfect~!
I love this finish very much, but it take me a long time to make it out, around 2~3week.
And need to clear the cue many times.
My first post here, just wanted to add also what a great guy Robin Cook is to deal with, just got my cue back from him which he did some work on and cant recommend him highly enough, and talk about fast, i posted the cue to him on a Tuesday and got it back the following Tuesday quite amazing considering the work he did.

Couple of pics of the round butt Robin did for me
After re-fitting the badge, he fitted a piece of clear acrylic over it so it feels perfectly smooth to the touch.

I'm not really sure what it is you're trying to say, I'm sorry. Do you want to re-finish the Robin cue? Do you want to remove the finish from Robin's cue? Generally, Robin's cues are oil-finished, and you want to remove the oil finish? Why? The oil finish is in the cue, so it's a very good finish. If you want to put wax on the wood, then why not? But you don't have to remove the original finish to do it, I think.

Thanks, yes, he did both the splices and made the new mini but, he did a great job on re-fitting the badge, i was well pleased when i took it out the tube, he also totally re finished the cue by sanding it all down, re-graining it and giving it an oil finish, he even "trued up" the joint so its now a nice flush fit, no lip or seam between the two.

He really does do 1st class work, I think, and he's reasonably priced too. It was good of him to true up the joint as well, but that's Robin, a class act.
