Does anyone know what Ken Doherty plays with? Cuename? Producer?

Ken Doherty uses an old and cheap rack cue which he got from the club where he used to play when he was young.

I am not sure of the brand but it was very cheap I think He bought that cue for something around 5 pounds from Jason's club in Dublin. He got this cue repaired from Dublin cue maker Barney Grafton.

Surely he doesn't use the typical club community cue does he? Hearing that he paid 2 pounds for it, it sounds likely, does anyone know if he has made alterations made to it to incorporate butts or extensions?

"I picked it out of a rack at Jason´s. The manager originally wanted £5 for it but I beat him down. On acquiring it, my first move was to take it to Dublin cue-maker, Barney Grafton, who replaced the damaged butt with a piece of ebony screwed into position."
"That´s the cue that won the World Amateur Championship and has remained with me as a professional. It´s warped. I must be one of the few professionals playing with a warped cue, but I wouldn´t dream of changing it. I have got used to holding it in a certain way, with my eye trained on a piece of grain."

well thats something new i've learnt! Just goes to show you dont need to spend wedges of cash for an expensive cue.

Do you mean 'spend wedges of cash for a good/effective cue.'

'Spend wedges of cash' sort of lends itself to expensiveness.

Makes me think twice about buying a custom cue.
