  • hunt and o'byrne black label

    hello there,i have a couple of hunt and o'byrne cues,1 green plate which is hand made and 1 black plate which looks to be machine spliced.my question is is it unusaul to have a machine spliced black plate.

      Yes , there is an english player in my club in Paris and he has a machine spliced cue with black plate.

        not possible,either its hand made or a fake.

          well its not fake because i was with the person who bought it from hunt and o'byrne when he picked it up in 1990

            try looking at the splices,the splices on hand made cues are different from the machine made ones.

                    I imagine that that would be possible, why not? Another posibility would be that their machine-spliced cues had black printing on the badges anyway; nobody could mistake one of them for a top-of-the-range cue!!

                      i think keith maybe right i think all the early hunt and obyrne snooker cues had all the same badges on before they started putting different badges on for differnet model cues.
