my lads cue craft looks similar to that joint but all the mastercraft cues i have seen, and it aint that many, have the male part of the joint in the butt not the shaft.

i bet it wasnt finished on the thigh of a virgin tho

sorry chatlag but he has a point. i think the craftsman cues are made so that the male joint on the mini butt fits into the shaft. So its probably a cue craft or something..

Did you get it off ebay? Could be a James Butters cue. I have one myself which I use for english pool. He uses the Craftsman joint, but rarely seems to put a badge on his cues. Think he only makes cues part time, but they aren't half bad - a couple have sold recently for around £100.

I own a craftsman cue, and i have to say they joints are more or less identical.

But the female joint is on the shaft is it not? So that the male joint on the mini butt can fit into the shaft to make a shorter cue. The way this cue is around the extenasions tend to replace the butt section with a longer butt, without a joint in the base.

yes your right rob, but my cue has a base joint in the butt. but regarding using the mini butt in the shaft, that is what i play pool with. Strange i know but i can't play pool with anything else. 12 Oz, 47 "

Maybe we will never know the mystery of chatlags cue, but i think craftsman always put the socket in the butt. Its a pretty piece of wood still though and you can give it me chatlag
