that's a very good point, and i'd like to make that crystal clear:
      • these joins are rock solid.
      • they will not fall apart or break down.

      it's all good news folks!

        not bad at all mate.

10ish days after the diy stitch incident, not got gangrene, hand hasn't fallen off. in fact, it's healed up brilliantly.

still struggling with gripping but getting stronger daily.

the biggest advantage it has over all other joins is that it has been designed with a view to actually improving 'feel' and responsiveness.

near the bottom of that page. Sorry Mike but i just felt your "only" comment isnt strictly accurate...
But i have been thinking that this was a brilliant idea for a while now and wondering why no one else picked up on it.

Love the way you presented the joint on your web site--precise, concise, and easy to follow.
                  Best wishes.

Am I the only one thinking this should be in "Snooker Items For Sale" instead?

Maybe you should make a new "shamelessly self promoting" section Sorry Mike only kidding, its a bit borderline isnt it, maybe accesories even...

it's not for sale as such. it's information about cues.

will you be using these joints at the end of the butt for short butt and tele extensions?

nothing unique or ground breaking there. that particular 'design' with outer brass ring is not exclusive and has been used for well over 20 years by many different makers.

used it myself many times. often found on 2pc centre join cues.

and a good fix for cues that are split at the join.
