  • For the Cue makers out there, question on splices?

    Welcome all.
When having cues made, or purchasing a cue, is there any difference to where the splices are positioned on a cue and also on the number of splices used.

these are oin refeence to 3/4 and one piece cues only.

    for example

    1. If the splices are only on the butt section only and do not extend into the shaft section. Does this affect the way that cue can perform. i.e. the vibrations travelling down the cue until it hits the brass join?
    2. the number of splices used. and the type of woods used.
    3. does having splices that extend into the shaft act to focus the cue power?
    4. does having joints in a cue change the way it will play. is it better to have a join or not, or is it just person taste.
