Snooker cue main butt

hi everyone here......i have see alot of cue using black enbony,rose wood,Macassar,Anjan,Bocote for the main butt....i myself have try out using cocobolo wood for the main butt.....anyone here know more about others special wood can use for main butt.....thank

Virtually any hardwood can be used for the butt. It has just to be hard enough.

dont tempt me man... i have no money!!! I have a solid tulipwood mini butt coming, and ive seen one snakewood butted cue before but i never thought solid tulip..

I think the tulipwood and the ash shaft will have too less contrast. So there should be some extra thin veneers between the tulipwoo main butt and the ash shaft...
