  • super tips

I'm trying to decide between the single layer or laminated super tips by Mike Wooldridge. As far as I understand the laminated ones are harder.

Does anybody have any experience playing snooker with these?

best to try them tbh although wooldridges tips are expensive.

Talk to ADR he has some tips available that you could get off him. Doubt you'd get the wooldridge ones for free :P but i think i've seen him give a couple of free samples, of the cheaper tips, to somebody on this forum before to try out so maybe you could get a bit of a discount on theses XD i dunno :P

they are totally different things - if you like lamninated tips try the wooldridge one if you like pressed tips his are as good as they come.

I've never tried a laminated tip, up to now I've only used BD's and Elks. Can you explain in what way I would find them different?

I currently have a pressed supertip on.
          It is perfect.
I have tried almost everything readily available, but always come back to 'the old' blue diamonds or elks.
However, now, the mike wooldridge supertips are my choice.
Their feel, straight from the packet, and firm consistency are what you pay for.
          Like I said...perfect. Thanks Mike...and Andrew!

Have you read ADR's tip guide? It's very good at explaining the differences between tips. I recommend it to everyone.

If you like BDs and Elks, I'd recommend Buffalo Blue Diamond tips, they're excellent. I've tried all of the pressed tips and I prefer the Diamond + tips above all the rest.

I agree with barrcuda 911. When I got my Wooldridge Pro 3 it had a supertip on it and I was a bit worried because i'd heard they were pretty hard tips, but after using, I found I didn't miscue and got a beautiful feel. I then ordered fifteen more which will see me out.

I've been using Mike Wooldridge single layer "super tip" for the past 5 months & unless HE comes up with something better, I ain't changing preferences :snooker:

I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad one and the 'feel' you get from them is fantastic, which is why they're becoming so popular. They're the perfect compromise for most people: more consistent than elks, and less expensive than Mike's supertips. :snooker:

I have tried pressed and laminated super tips. Pressed are great. But laminated ones....It is like a dream come true. Best tips in the world
