  • Good Cue in Bradford?

    Hello!
I'm cooming over to England to visit my grandparents during Easter.
I've been playing snooker a litle bit (hard to find snookertabels to play on in sweden) and i play 9-ball alott.
I have decided to buy a good snooker cue and my question is if i can get any tips on what to look at and if anyone knows if there is a good place to go to in Bradford?
The price can be all from £150 to around £300. What brand should i look at?
Also I am wondering about the joint, what is the diffrens with a cue joint in the middle and a 3/4 ?

I'm very happy for all tips i can get!

You cannot improve your game if you don't have a cue and snooker table

the problem with that is northwest cues only make to order so there will be a wait and probably have to post it to sweden and when the cue arrives he might not like it .were at craftsman cues he can try before he buys it and take it away the same day.

i play with a craftsman cue, but it is one of the older craftsman cues so i can't compare to how the new craftsman cues play, but i love it.

Kokeaa, i live in Västerås. I play alot of pool(playing in klass 1) but have picked up snooker more and more. I have a hard time deciding what snookercue to go for. Maybe a Mastercraft or a Mastercue. I change my mind all the time.

Snookerloopy 08 okey, well i hope I can find a craftsman that suits me good too=)

Sledgeman, I have been playing mostly 9-ball but no more then club competitions, but just like you I have picked up snooker more and more. But with Grandparents in England it's always been a little bit snooker played, just a pity that there's not so many tables in the south of Sweden. Do you have a snookercue now? And what cues are you playing pool with? I am hoping on finding a good Craftsman cue now on next saturday but i must say compare to the poolcues most of the snooker cues seem to be prity cheap, fore instens i bought my first snooker cue fora aboute £35 (not a ggod one) but anyways, can't find poolcues in Sweden that cheap.

Well if anyone have any more tips on Cues to have a look att near Bradford please let me know, and if anyone knows anything more to think about with the craftsmanscues.
I let you all know what i come home with after my trip to Bradford, (just hope i come home with something =P)

I live in Bradford, Craftsman's almost certainly the best choice within 50 miles. They're good cues for the money, I've played with a few.

One other option is Joe Johnson's snooker club in Bradford itself. I haven't been since they moved a couple of years ago but when I last visited they had a range of cues in a cabinet to try out and buy. There'll be more variety and better value cues at Craftsman but Joe's place is near enough that it might be worth a look first (they may only have mass produced, overpriced rubbish so be sure to know what you're looking at).

And if you get a cue and fancy knocking a few balls in, Chalks in Bradford is a bit dingy but it's open 24 hours and has 20 cheap but quality (fast and level) snooker tables.
