I took out my MasterCue M3 Superb for the first time today in about almost 1 and a half years and I noticed that every time I pot the ball, it would make a vibrating sound like something inside the shaft of the cue is loose. I'm pretty sure that the cue is done for. I had the cue for almost 6 years now and I never once abused it in anyways or leave it in the car. I am still not sure what happened to it. Maybe it was the harsh Canadian weather, really cold and dry winters. I don't recall ever greasing the cue except once (someone told me it wasn't really required), but I would always take a damp cloth and whip it down with water when it got sticky then take another towel to dry it off.
I want a new cue pretty badly, but I rarely play anymore. Maybe once a month because I'm really busy with school and work. If I spend money on another MC, will it break on me again? I'm pretty noobie when it comes to taking care of the cue. I don't think I did anything wrong other than forgetting to grease it. Maybe it's the weather. Blah. Advice? Reason why it broke? Get another one?
