  • I just bought this......

As the title says, hopefully will be with me in a few days time.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-3-4-ASH-SN...3A1|240%3A1308

Will give you guys some feed back on it when i get it, in case anyone is looking for a budget cue

Will get it shortened to 55.5" though and still keep it at 9mm tip size.

K heres to hoping it will be a good budget cue

Want to see if the right specs makes any difference in my game even with a cheap cue.

If it does then my advice would be, any cue you get make sure its the right specs

Heh, the seller should take more pride in the paint job on the splices.

Hope it plays up to your expectation though.

      Lol.

      Hey Huy!

Its just a cheapy, so not expecting to much from it, its more experimenting for me to see if specs really do make a difference.

And it'll fill the void till my Trevor White comes

Very very smart, I think this is a great (and cheap) way of experimenting till you find what is right for you without spending a lot of money on a brand cues that may or may not fit you,Enjoy.

I just did the same thing (mines a cheap one piece :P)... not because im experimenting more because i was bored and it will go in my dads shed for his barbilliards table...

Heres a review for anyone thats interested
          A fine paint job
          substandard wood
          *interesting* chevrons
but a nice natural finish to the shaft

wonder what it plays like.... dont know yet because we just had a new conservatory put in and the barbilliards table is surround by stuff

My father wants a new cue as he is not pleased anymore with his cheap Riley one... Is there any good cue for 100GBP?
You cannot improve your game if you don't have a cue and snooker table

I'd actually be interested in hearing how it compares to your WPT cue... All of the time, whatever website your on, due to the nature of forums being specific everybody is very knowledgeable in a certain field... Obviously here it's cues! Therefore instantly people recommend better cues and suggest avoiding Chinese cues, etc. I have no reason to believe otherwise and hence why I also avoided a Chinese cue... But in reality, for an average player... How much difference are we talking?

Possibly compared to say £400 cue there'd be a no content... But wondering how say one of the £50 Chinese cues compares to the £100+ cue of say Mastercraft/WPT.

I have handled Chinese cues but never played using them... And if I did I'm sure it'd be my ability letting me down rather than the cue. None the less, I'm very glad to have my Mastercraft as it's something I feel "proud" to use... But I'd be interested in hearing how you feel the Chinese cues compare in game!

I hope others are not reading into this that I do not believe other views on the forum, but simply I'm aware Rob is "relatively" new to the game of snooker so I'm interested in whether he feels that if he got the Chinese cue from the start (And not the WPT) would he feel the cue hampering him at all.

I feel like I've written a lot and not got my point/question across well at all - Fingers crossed you get where I'm coming from!

Your saying im rubbish... i'll slap you boyyyyy

Personally i've been wondering the same thing. I bought my WPT cue because as you say it's something i'm proud to own. I appreciate it from an aesthetic and craftmanship perspective.
I have a chinese cue already which i like a lot. But its too short at 56" for me. Though I'm of the opinion i probably got one of the better cues from the manufacturer. Surely I can't be lucky twice in a row... so this should dispell the rumours and this ones at least nearer to my specs.
But as i said before it has a very smooth shaft, not varnished, and though i haven't tried it, i would much rather have this to something off say argos. And it being a 1 piece the butt isnt made of chipboard just painted ash.

Without playing with it i can say it does feel like it has a weight in it rather than the natural weight distribution of my WPT, though i haven't checked the balance and dont have it to hand atm. I will report back when i try it. Nam will do the same i'm sure.
