Any experience with these RG? THe adds look pretty swift, but they might be snake oil salesmen.http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-Cocobolo-...1%7C240%3A1318

That cue is chinese made, But if it appeals to you go for it.

Chinese made...how so? It says that it is hand made in Canada or England somewhere, but the price does seem too good to be true.

I am now the chinese cue guru
I always think with these chinese cues your playing russian roulette. In the one hand I have a chinese 2 piece cue. Painted butt, but it plays surprinsingly well. And in the other hand i've seen some really rough ones bent like a fishhook
Thing is you don't really know what your getting until it arrives. I would prefer to have a classic cue from craftsman if funds are limited and try not to be swayed by the shiny case and extensions that come with the ones off ebay. But at the end of the day it is up to you and at least one guy in my club plays with one of the ones off ebay and is perfectly happy.
But I certainly take a lot more pride in owning my WPT cue.

Alot of them certainly do When I purchased mine it was despatched from China but "got lost"... As an aside, I don't believe it ever got lost because whenever they gave me a tracking number they gave me one for an item that has been despatched before the auction I won even ended, and was being sent to Newcastle (I live near Leicester!). After a struggle I got my money back (They were not keen and wanted me to choose another cue... Of three that they sent me photos of).

I had a lucky escape, considering what I've seen of the Chinese cues (Handled one but never played with one)... In the end I ended up with a Mastercraft instead.

haha thats lucky ..... i was thinking of buying those until i got to know they were chinese . now i've got to persuade my dad to get me something better (which wont be easy lol ) . anyone knows abut this site -fjsnooker.co.uk/
they seem quite reputable considering the items they got .. (they dont get 12ft snooker table from the chinese , i guess . lol . ) they got cue craft's and all but the pro snooker and barracuda's seem tooo gud to be true .

                              Hi all!!!

K, the cue has finaly arrived a few days ago, along with a full refund cause it took so long and they claimed back from Royal Mail for losing the first one.

Well I have given the cue a shot as it is, 57", not bothered to shorten it now, cause I should be recieving my TW soon

Well what can I say, its a cheap cue, but you do get the "PHUT" with it though

                              Spec wise:
Wieght: about 19oz mainly in the butt end:P
Balance: about 13-14" (my cueing arm is aching right now )
Tip size: 9mm just like how I like it (but the tip that came with it looked like it was made by shreddies wheat company, it was brown fibres wrapped together :S
                              But diametre: standard
                              Mini but: 6" of plastic

The shaft it self is very smooth and straight, but feels very naked as theres no varnish or wax on it, well can't feel or see any with my own eyes or hands.
It is whippy though, you can see the cue flex wobble as you hit the cue ball, but it was actually ok to play with. I still could perform all the ranges of shots needed for a serious game, though some took more effort to perform. The chevrons aint to bad either.
I'd say for the money you pay for it you won't get much better.

Or to put it in comparison, i bought the £8 cue from Aldi or was it Lidl before and this cue for the same price, or a bit less I think blows the Aldi/Lidl cue out of the water easily.
even without the extras that you would've got with the Aldi/Lidl cue.

So if I could choose 1 cheap cue it would be this one, I reckon it can be even good enough for the casual gamer just wants a knock about here and there (I made a 40 break out of frustration playing against Thai_son22 in about 2 mins, so just shows it can be played with), but not for the serious minded snooker players out there.

Don't know bout the warping ability yet haven't left it in boot of car for a period of time yet, but feels like it could warp easily as it feels very flexible.

K thats bout it I think, if anyone feels I'm missing out on something let me know, and I'll review the issue.

So all in all, marks for a cheap cue, Aldi/Lidl cue: 3-10
                              This cheap cue: 7/8-10

                              Thats all folks

if you don't mind the machine splices, try BCE 102 Heritage 2-pc. I tried it 10+ frames and played very well (comparing to my few other customs that cost 5 times more). This 102 is very well balanced, grade Ash shaft which is slicky smooth. But it comes to centre joint 2-pc. No wobble. No weakness. Costed me P.50 shipped from UK to Thailand. Somebody might find the opposite. Good luck.
                                It's in the Shaft
