Lindrum McConarchy Nonpareil cue

Hi,

I have recently come accross a Lindrum McConarchy Nonpareil cue, i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get some history on the cue and of its value?
Any help greatfull.

Hixon & Son, Leeds, were advertising them for sale between 1935 and 1939. Not sure if they were the actual maker, but I haven't come across any other firms advertising them. This advert from them in 1938 describes the cue in detail:

High-Class Makers & Repair Specialists. We supply the "LINDRUM-McCONACHY" Non-pareil Cue. Hand spliced with 2 Ebony and 2 Pynkado Splices. Fitted with Fibre Ferrule. Also 'Specially Selected'' Four-Splice Rosewood Butted Maple Cues; and "Superior Quality" Maple Cues with Four-Point Ebony Butt, Green Veneer and Bird's-Eye Maple Front Splice.

Somebody else will have to give you an idea of value. Wouldn't have thought they were that common though.

it looks a beautiful playing cue, but in need of a bit of repair. one of the splices is a bit loose and it is slightly warped. now i just need to find a good doctor to send it to!!
