People will always pay for the name but I don't think I would touch a 1 pc cue that had been altered, simply because you never know if it has the right balance or has been done correctly. E bay is a risk but maybe that's just me, if you are buying off e-bay I think ADR has some better cues for sale on there at present and at least you know your buying a cue from someone who knows their cues which can save the heart ache.

This was a wonderful cue before it was splitted.
Who does this to such a cue?
      It is a pity.
I'm quite sure the seller would get at least one third more if not the double if the cue was still a 1pc.
Or at least splitted by Will Hunt.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

I totally agree! I wish it had never been split.

I don't know why the value of Hunt & O'byrne in Hk is much more higher than in Uk?

A good brand is a product (usually a good one) that people are willing to pay more than its worth as a product, just because of what it represents/stands for.

He says it has a special light weight joint and appears to have a hollow pin? Is that Glovers' joint?

I haven't seen that before and have recently been thinking about how to get a light 3/4 cue with good balance...

For me it is not a matter of the GLover joint being bad but it is attached to the wrong cue.
                              The cue isn't original anymore.
