  • Custom Made Cues

Good day to all! Have some questions to ask, maybe someone can help and advise.

I have not bought any custom made cues before. I have only 1 2nd hand Mastercue, while I feel isn't that good.

    1. Have intention to get a custom made cue, so may I ask, what are the specs I have to provide to the cue maker?

    2. How will the payment be made, as I am from Singapore.

    3. Any other things that I have to take note when getting a cue custom-made?

Appreciate if anyone who has the expertise or experience with custom-made cues can advise. Thanks!

1.custom made cues are made to your specifications ,so its upto you to decide what is best for you, i suggest you try out a few cues of various specifications at your club and get to know whats best for you.

2.the payment is mostly done by bank transfer , although some cuemakers have websites where you can order through your credit card.

3.it'll cost you extra for the courier, you can also order various extensions and cases if you like.

i would recommend you to go for trevor white ( personal opinion), the finish and feel of his cues are arguably the best today.you might have to wait a long time though perhaps even 16 weeks for the delivery of the cue.

some other good cuemakers are:mike woolridge, stamford, john parris, hunt and osbyrne

if you want to go local : omin cues are decent enough.

oh well, thanks for your advice. I dont have a specific club that I go to, in actual fact, we dont really have snooker clubs in Singapore, only some snooker lounges open to public, where the cues are normally in a pretty bad condition.

i am actually quite interested in either TW or craftsman. I have been to craftsman's website and his cues looks very nicely done, but can anyone tell me what is TW's website so I can have a look?

and also, this is my 1st time wanting to buy a custom made cue, so may I ask, what are the specific specifications? basic ones I know could be, length, weight, cue tip. what else are there?

Personally, I'd recommend Mike Wooldridge, my personal preference having used a "Rocket" cue from him for the last ten years. It's still a great cue and feels as good as ever, it's never let me down.

There are no snooker club in singapore, just some snooker shops equiped with both pool & snooker table. For guests, it will be good to try out snookerium such as KLASSIC & WEST COAST RECERATION CENTER.

If you are heading down singapore, feel free to PM me and i will try to squeeze some time to bring you ard town.

There are no snooker clubs in Singapore per se, but there are recreational, sports and country clubs that have snooker halls, together with the carrom rooms, bowling alleys, dart rooms, cricket fields, etc.

The cricket club is one of such clubs.
