  • Joe Davis 1938 cue ?

This has strangely turned up in my hands and I want to know the provinence of it. it is a thick one piece cue with no. 17 imprinted on the shaft. However there is a plaque at the bottom stating E J RileyLtd makers Accrington with an impressioned signature of Joe Davis Record snooker cue - break 138. I know that he did the record break of 138 but find it hard to believe that I may have a special bit of snooker memorabilia in my hands. It come in a full size etal case with clasp at the bottom and a metal loop at the top. Were these mass produced? if anyone can help I would be extremely grateful. thanks

Hi ADR, I have taken some pictures, how do I send them to you? Are these types of cue worth using to play, and would it be close to 70 years old. Thanks for your help. Cheers
