  • What cue to buy?

    Hi Guys

Just looking for some advice on what the best cue would be for around £80.

Been playing now for a couple of years and think its about time I treated myself to a new cue!

    Cheers

    craftsman classic machine spliced ones
think you need to stretch your budget by 60 or 50 for a hand spliced craftsman
stretch your budget by 30 or so for a mastercraft black prince and a bit more for others in their range
Or go second hand - see ADR147 about that

machine splicing and hand splicing is down to personal preference btw :P just gave you suggestions incase you preferred one to the other

Thanks for that, who's ADR147?? Second hand might be the best route to go so I can get a bit more for my money!

Is there much difference between hand spliced or machine spliced?

      Cheers for the help again

        Secondhand also an option

If you stretch your budget slightly,

his ebay shop, might be a little bit cheaper without ebay fees

I would recommend stretching your budget slightly for a WPT cue, I recently got one and I couldn't be happier

No Woolworths, but he could try contacting Dave Coutts, he always has some nice cues around for that sort of price range. Good older 2nd hand cues, part ex's or O'Min machine-spliced cues, which are as good as anything else on the market and a lot better than most. On top of all that, Dave'll steer him right and not try and sell him over-priced rubbish. Try Coutts Cues in Lincoln,if you're near.
